Terms of Service
Last updated: 1 July 2026 · Effective: 1 July 2026
These Terms apply to both Consumers (people who search for and book appointments) and Vendors (barbers, salons, and wellness businesses that list services on Kogora). Additional terms specific to each are set out in Sections 8 and 9.
1. What Kogora is
Kogora is an online marketplace that allows Consumers to discover, compare, and book appointments with Vendors. Kogora facilitates the connection between Consumers and Vendors but is not itself a party to any appointment. The contract for each appointment is formed directly between the Consumer and the Vendor.
Kogora is not responsible for the quality, safety, legality, or accuracy of the services offered by Vendors, nor for a Consumer's ability to pay for those services. We act as an intermediary only.
2. Eligibility
To use Kogora, you must:
- Be at least 16 years of age
- Be capable of forming a legally binding contract under applicable law
- Not be barred from receiving services under the laws of the EU or your country of residence
- Provide accurate and truthful information when registering
By using Kogora, you represent and warrant that you meet all of the above eligibility requirements.
3. Your account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@kogora.com if you suspect unauthorised access.
You may not create more than one Consumer account or more than one Vendor account for the same business. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate duplicate or fraudulent accounts without notice.
You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. Deletion is subject to our data retention obligations as set out in our Privacy Policy.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Kogora for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms
- Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information, reviews, or bookings
- Impersonate any person, business, or entity
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform or another user's account
- Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the platform without our prior written consent
- Post content that is defamatory, discriminatory, harassing, obscene, or otherwise harmful
- Use the platform to spam, solicit, or market services outside of Kogora to users you met through Kogora
- Circumvent or attempt to circumvent Kogora's booking system to conduct transactions off-platform that Kogora would otherwise facilitate
- Introduce malware, viruses, or other harmful code into the platform
Violations may result in suspension or permanent termination of your account and may be reported to the relevant authorities.
5. User content
"User Content" means any content you submit to Kogora, including listing information, photos, reviews, messages, and business details.
You retain ownership of your User Content. By submitting it to Kogora, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable licence to use, display, reproduce, and distribute your User Content solely for the purpose of operating and promoting the Kogora platform. This licence ends when you delete the content or close your account (subject to reasonable indexing and caching delays).
You represent that you own or have the right to submit all User Content, and that it does not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights or violate any applicable law.
We reserve the right to remove any User Content that violates these Terms, our policies, or applicable law, without prior notice.
6. Intellectual property
All content, design, trademarks, software, and technology on the Kogora platform (excluding User Content) are owned by or licensed to Kogora ApS and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, or distribute any part of the platform without our prior written consent.
Nothing in these Terms transfers any intellectual property rights to you. Your use of the platform does not grant you any licence to our trademarks, trade names, or branding.
7. Privacy and data
Your use of Kogora is subject to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using Kogora, you acknowledge that you have read and understood the Privacy Policy, including how we handle personal data in the event of a business transfer or acquisition.
8. Terms for Consumers
8.1 Bookings
When you book an appointment through Kogora, you are entering into a contract directly with the Vendor. Kogora is not a party to that contract. Kogora facilitates the booking but does not guarantee that the Vendor will fulfil the appointment.
You are responsible for providing accurate contact information so the Vendor can reach you regarding your appointment.
8.2 Cancellations and no-shows
Each Vendor sets their own cancellation policy, which is displayed on their profile before you confirm a booking. By booking, you agree to the Vendor's cancellation terms. If you cancel outside the allowed window or fail to attend without notice, the Vendor may charge a cancellation fee in accordance with their stated policy.
8.3 Reviews
You may only submit a review for a service you have genuinely received through Kogora. Reviews must be honest, fair, and based on your direct experience. We reserve the right to remove reviews that we reasonably believe are fake, incentivised, or in violation of these Terms.
By submitting a review, you understand it will be publicly displayed on the Vendor's profile, attributed to your display name.
8.4 Disputes with Vendors
If you have a complaint about a service you received, you should first attempt to resolve it directly with the Vendor. Kogora may, at our discretion, assist in facilitating resolution but is under no obligation to do so and is not liable for the outcome.
9. Terms for Vendors
9.1 Listing accuracy
You are solely responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and legality of your listing, including service descriptions, pricing, opening hours, staff information, and photos. Misleading or inaccurate listings may result in suspension of your account.
9.2 Eligibility to list
By listing on Kogora, you confirm that you are legally authorised to provide the services listed, that your business holds all required licences and permits, and that you comply with all applicable health, safety, and employment regulations.
9.3 Fulfilment of bookings
You are responsible for fulfilling all bookings confirmed through Kogora. If you need to cancel a booking, you must notify the Consumer as early as possible. Frequent cancellations or no-shows may result in account suspension.
9.4 Customer data
Consumer personal data shared with you as part of a booking (name, contact details, booking history) is shared solely for the purpose of fulfilling that booking. You may not use this data for marketing purposes without the Consumer's separate consent, and you must comply with all applicable data protection laws, including EU GDPR.
On termination of your Vendor account, you must delete any Consumer personal data received through Kogora that you are not otherwise legally required to retain.
9.5 Fees and payments
Any fees payable to Kogora for use of the platform will be set out in a separate fee schedule communicated to you at the time of sign-up or before any fee change takes effect. We will provide at least 30 days' notice before introducing new fees or increasing existing fees.
9.6 Responses to reviews
You may respond to reviews left by Consumers. Responses must be professional and must not include personal data about the Consumer. Abusive or retaliatory responses may be removed.
10. Payments
Where Kogora processes payments on behalf of Vendors, separate payment processing terms will apply and will be provided at the point of enabling payments. Until payment processing is enabled, Consumers and Vendors arrange payment directly between themselves.
Kogora is not responsible for any payment disputes between Consumers and Vendors where Kogora did not process the transaction.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:
- Kogora provides the platform on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
- Kogora does not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from viruses or harmful components.
- Kogora is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform or any appointment booked through it.
- Kogora's total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed €100 or the total fees paid by you to Kogora in the 12 months preceding the claim, whichever is greater.
Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law under applicable EU consumer protection legislation.
12. Assignment
You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms to any third party without our prior written consent.
Kogora may assign or transfer its rights and obligations under these Terms — in whole or in part — in connection with a merger, acquisition, restructuring, sale of assets, or similar corporate transaction, without your consent. We will provide reasonable notice of any such assignment that materially affects your rights. Following assignment, the acquiring entity assumes Kogora's obligations under these Terms in respect of your account.
If you do not wish to continue using the platform following such an assignment, you may close your account at any time with no penalty.
13. Termination
13.1 Termination by you
You may stop using Kogora and close your account at any time from your account settings. Closing your account does not cancel any pending bookings — you remain responsible for those until they are formally cancelled in accordance with the applicable Vendor policy.
13.2 Termination by Kogora
We may suspend or terminate your access to Kogora at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, if we are required to do so by law, or for any other legitimate operational reason. Where possible, we will give you advance notice and an opportunity to remedy any breach before terminating.
Sections 5, 6, 7, 11, 12, 14, and 15 of these Terms survive termination.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Denmark, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
If you are a consumer resident in another EU member state, you retain the benefit of any mandatory consumer protection provisions of your country of residence that cannot be derogated from by contract.
We encourage you to contact us first at support@kogora.com to resolve any dispute informally. If we cannot resolve it within 30 days, disputes may be referred to the courts of Copenhagen, Denmark, or — for consumers — to the competent court in your country of residence.
EU consumers may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will notify you by email or a prominent in-app notice at least 14 days before the new Terms take effect. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the current version.
If you continue to use Kogora after the new Terms take effect, you are deemed to have accepted them. If you do not accept the updated Terms, you must stop using Kogora and close your account before the effective date.
16. General
Entire agreement. These Terms (together with the Privacy Policy and any additional terms applicable to specific features) constitute the entire agreement between you and Kogora regarding your use of the platform.
Severability. If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
Waiver. Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of our right to enforce it in the future.
Contact. For any questions about these Terms, contact us at legal@kogora.com.
